State the required airflow, pressure and units. Say whether pressure is static or total, and describe the expected operating range.
Describe the air stream
Include temperature, dust loading, moisture and any corrosive or potentially explosive materials. Ask the manufacturer to assess the application and applicable requirements.
Explain the installation
Share duct connections, available space, power supply, operating hours and control requirements. Attach drawings through your follow-up conversation with the supplier.
Make quotations comparable
Ask for a selection curve, materials, motor details, noise data, lead time and the scope of supply. Confirm how performance will be measured.
